Pulp Fiction Coffee House in downtown Kelowna on the corner of Pandosy and Lawrence
Robbie Rare Books & Pulp Fiction Coffee House
Pulp Fiction is a term used to describe a huge amount of creative writing available to the American public in the early 1900's. Although the pages in-between the covers were printed on cheap "pulp" paper, the covers were beautifully decorated with lurid portraits of pretty women in various stages of trouble. These publications proliferated in the '30's and '40's to the point where they blanketed newsstands in just about every popular fiction genre of the time.
The walls of our downtown Kelowna location is lined with Robbie Rare Books, as well as an impressive collection of clocks, bronze and copper bookends, and rare pieces of art. Wander through a labyrinth of rooms filled with Victorian and Georgian antiques and books collected from around the world.
